Maxim Healthcare Services Proposal Developer in Columbia, Maryland
Maxim Healthcare Services Proposal Developer will develop winning proposals for home health care services in response to solicitations (RFPs, IFBs, RFQs, etc.) from various government agencies and other organizations. The Proposal Developer will work autonomously and will be responsible for all stages of proposal development. The Proposal Developer must quickly grasp complex business concepts and effectively articulate service offerings to external audiences. The preferred candidate will be customer-focused and able to successfully multitask and manage the entire proposal development process under aggressive deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Independently manages the proposal development process throughout all stages from pre-RFP planning to final submission including but not limited to: RFP analysis & review, scheduling and facilitating proposal kick-off and development calls; gathering questions for the client; liaising with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs); and final production
Ensures strict adherence to RFP requirements and deadlines
Drives the development of proposal win themes and value propositions
Provides overall quality assurance including conforming to the Maxim Healthcare branding guidelines
Manages multiple projects and uses effective project management tools such as proposal plans, schedules, outlines, and compliance matrices
Facilitates post-submission requirements such as Discussion Items and Clarifications
Helps to manage the grant writing process
Works collaboratively through the process, partnering with local office operations and clinical teams, business development teams, and other corporate partners including finance, contracts, HR and legal
Establishes sustainable relationships with internal/external partners and clients
Updates and maintains proposal tracking and information database(s)
Participates in department meetings, initiatives, and/or projects
Develops and continuously improves proposal processes and proposal library content
Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Writing, Business, Communications, Journalism, or three to five (3-5) years of equivalent related experience is required
At least three to five (3-5) years of proposal development experience, strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to write technical or creative prose; writing sample(s) required
Proficiency creating formatted proposals in MS Word and using other tools to support content development, preferred
Practical use of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe is strongly preferred
Ability to manage time, multi-task and excel in a deadline-oriented environment, preferred
Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills is strongly preferred
Proficiency of the English language is required
CRM experience, preferred
Proposal technology experience, preferred
Wages/Salary Information:
$81,600 - $85,000, annual bonus potential of $6,500
